Is HostMonster a good web hosting company? I need to purchase a web hosting account for my new website. I was thinking about HostMonster. Anyone here ever use them? What are they like?
Should I buy web hosting from Hostmonster?
HostMonster, Bluehost, & HostGator are all run by the same company. Their hosting is exactly the same. They are ok, but nothing special.
They are the same companies, but their performance is slightly different. Bluehost and HostMonster are hosted from the same datacenter but I’ve found that Bluehost is a bit faster. I think they offer more bandwidth. If you are going to go with HostMonster, I would suggest you sign up with http://www.bluehost.com instead. They are basically the same company, but Bluehost offers better performance I think.
I’ve hosted several sites with HostMonster before. They were that good. Their support was amazing, but my sites would experience frequent down times. I switched over to a few other web hosts. My favorite by far is InMotion. More expensive but worth the extra cost.

InMotion is a much better web host in terms of performance. But if you just have a simple website and dont need too much, then I think hostmonster would do fine.
HostMonster is a decent web host. Its probably not the best for a business website. But if you have a simple personal website that you want hosted, they would do just fine. http://www.hostmonster.com
Web Hosting Hub (you can find them at http://www.webhositnghub.com) is much better. They both offer the same hosting features, but Hub costs a little less and actually has considerably better performance. I would highly recommend them over HostMonster. And if you dont like Hub, then go with Bluehost instead.
